5 COLOR TRENDS YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS SPRING 2023
We have all been there, after turning 30, I decided that I would no longer wear color, I just became a mom and my life was upside down but for some reason I thought if I only wear neutrals like those put-together women I saw at the mall I would just become one of the, spoiler alert! I did not (and that’s ok—ish I guess.
Last year (when I turned 40) I decided that being perfectly put- together was over rated and decided I would try my best to do and wear things that bring me joy.
So here I am scanning fashion shows to get outfit ideas and these are the 5 lates color fashion trends of 2023 for if you want to have some fun with your wardrobe.
1. Spring 2023 Color Trend: Soft Purples and Lilac
A lot of fashion shows were doing monochromatic looks with lilacs and light purples from head to toe. If you are like me, I don’t like to wear fashion trends from head to toe, I like to add one element that’s trending so I can repurpose my wardrobe which is mostly neutral and stay true to my capsule wardrobe.
How to Wear It: You can wear a nice Sheer Top or Cardigan.
2. Spring 2023 Color Trend: Slate Gray
Gray has been almost positioned as the “new black to wear for daytime” for a while lately, it’s one of my favorite neutrals to wear with a warm tone because it never overpowers a good bright color, it just complements it.
How to Style It: I like to have a good High Waisted Pants to wear with a bright top, or a nice Cardigan for summer.
3. Spring 2023 Color Trend: Mellow Yellow
This sweet shade of yellow feels approachable while packing just enough punch for a zesty addition to your spring palette.
How to Style It: You can wear a nice Midi Dress or a nice pair of Flats.
4. Spring 2023 Color Trend: Jet Black
Black will never go out of style and this spring it’s everywhere. Wardrobe staples are among 2023’s top fashion trends so feel free to play with the basic black pieces you already have.
How to Style It: You can wear a nice Moto Jacket or a cute Jersey Maxi Dress.

Powder blue has been on trend for a while now. It can almost double as a neutral because of its toned hue.
